Simplifying AD Divestiture

case study placeholder image 3

Easy Divestiture

Company P is a global specialising in risk management and consultancy. A newly presented and complicated legal arrangement between two global zones meant that Company P needed to divest part of its business to continue operating in that part of the world.

Company P’s IT team were familiar with the migration process in terms of bringing Active Directories together but were unfamiliar with divesting part of their overall Active Directory structure away from the main Forest. To make matters worse, objects in multiple areas of the Forest needed to be divested separately.

The solution to complex AD divestiture

Enter PowerSyncPro. After completing an assessment of which object required divesting to a separate tenant, PowerSyncPro was deployed to Company P’s AD structure, and effectively and quickly divested the required objects away to a separate MS tenant, whilst retaining access for specified stakeholders across both the entire original and newly divested structure. PowerSyncPro’s robust pre-deployment check toolkit ensured that the correct objects were migrated, and that there were no orphaned objects after the operation, keeping post-project costs and maintenance down
